We are so excited to showcase why Tower Hamlets is such a great place to work, with plenty of career opportunities across our seven organisations.

This strategy aims to ensure that the critical role of carers is acknowledged and respected - and that people’s needs as carers are recognised and met. The strategy has been designed and co-produced by carers and staff. We are committed to involving carers in our work, alongside the people who use our services and others with lived experience in our communities, including our staff.

‘Our Commitment to Carers 2024-27’ has been developed with unpaid carers alongside contributions from Tower Hamlets Together partners, and outlines what we plan to do over the next three years to help provide this support.

We are proud to be members of the Every Chance for Every Child Forum, the Tower Hamlets Children and Families Partnership. As individual organisations and working together, we strive every day to deliver the very best opportunities and support to families and children. This strategy is driven by what children and young people have told us.

The Better Care Fund is a programme that started in 2015, which aims to set a framework around and support local systems to deliver integration in Health and Social Care. A warm welcome to the first issue of the TH BCF Club newsletter, where you can keep up to date with the BCF Review work that is taking place in Tower Hamlets – and how you might be involved!

The Improving Equity Programme is a collaborative initiative that aims to tackle the health and social inequalities in Tower Hamlets. It provides funding, training and support to local projects using Quality Improvement (QI) methods to address complex and systemic issues affecting the wellbeing of the community.

How do we ‘do’ effective co-production? We used appreciative inquiry to focus on existing assets and spoke to nearly 100 community members and stakeholders in Bradford and Tower Hamlets. In this strategy we draw on the key findings from our appreciative inquiry and offer important values, principles and directions on how to deliver effective co-production for the ActEarly programme.

This Workforce Strategy sets out our approach to ensuring we have a health and social care workforce that delivers care at the right time; in the right way; in the right place; by the right person, with the right skills and values. It will act as a guiding framework for THT and the organisations within it to support and develop the health and social care workforce in Tower Hamlets. This strategy is not designed to replace or supersede the inter-organisational strategies of THT partner organisations, but instead to support their direction setting so that organisational workforce strategies demonstrate alignment with THT integrated workforce priorities.
