Staff Inovation Fund

Tower Hamlets Together (THT) values its staff, supporting them to provide high quality whole person care. Recognising that those delivering services understand what works and what doesn’t on the frontline, the Staff Innovation Fund encourages leadership in the workforce to develop new innovative practice.

A fund of £300k was available for proposals to strengthen integration, improve the quality and safety of care, build more robust partnership working, increase the involvement of service users and improve value for money. These had to be delivered in specific teams and locations to demonstrate visible change and be willing to share learning. Forty-nine ideas totaling over £1million were submitted. Following assessment by senior representatives from each THT partner and a carer, 22 projects were supported. A number of these are now underway including:

  • Support Group for parents and carers of people with learning disabilities
  • Embedded pharmacist at the Mission Practice
  • Evaluation of impact of care navigators
