FREE Cooking Classes in Tower Hamlets

The Zacchaeus Project, Walter Newby Centre, Bethnal Green Methodist Church, Approach Road, E2 9JP
Free cooking classes

Free hands-on cooking classes, improving confidence and getting you eating better for less.

Bags of Taste was founded by Alicia Weston in 2014, taking a new approach to cooking courses for people on low budgets.

We are excited to be running the innovative project in Tower Hamlets.

Bags of Taste is focused on showing you how to cook tasty and nutritious meals for under £1 a portion. Each class looks at a different recipe from around the world, where you are given the opportunity to cook and eat it for yourself, after a demonstration.

Afterwards, you can buy bags of recipe ingredients for just £3. Enough to make two healthy meals for two people at home.

"Now I am cooking at home more than I ever did. This has really given me confidence and inspired me."

This is a four week course on Wednesdays 11:00-13.30, starting on the 7th of August 2019 (Zacchaeus Project E2) and another on the 18th of September 2019 (Osmani Centre E1).
