The health theme for this forum is Cancer with presentations from the MacMillan Local authority partnership and Orchid Cancer. A diagnosis of cancer can be a frightening experience meaning people can feel quite isolated as they may not know anyone else who is having to face the same challenges and mix of emotions. We would like to explore how the VCSE sector and offer support for vulnerable people.
Also find out about the new the digital portal for Tower Hamlets Together. The vision is to create a single, centralised online information hub that Tower Hamlets residents can use to find local information and advice about living independently within their community, which could also be used by voluntary organisations to promote their services, and by health services to enable social prescribing to refer to voluntary sector organisations.
